Mindray Announces New BeneVision N-Series Patient Monitoring Platform

Mahwah, NJ 04-30-2019

Disruptive Technology Will Change the Way Clinicians Manage Patients

Mindray, a global developer of next-generation medical devices and software, is pleased to introduce the new BeneVision N-Series patient monitoring platform. Modular, comprehensive and efficient, this suite of patient monitors supports clinical excellence, and together with the BeneVision Distributed Monitoring System (DMS), enables clinicians to observe, manage and document a patient’s condition in support of high-quality, patient-centric care, from admission to discharge.

The new series includes the N1, N12, N15, N17, N19 and N22 patient monitors, all utilizing the same user interface, supporting unprecedented usability and clinical proficiency throughout all departments of a hospital. As the first-ever patient monitoring platform to incorporate capacitive touch screen technology across all of its monitors, N-Series represents the logical fusion of consumer electronics features with smarter monitoring technology for the hospital environment. “Using touch and swiping gestures similar to a smart device, clinicians can cut minutes off of clinical review, analysis and charting time, leading to increased efficiencies and driving positive patient outcomes, two key objectives of every healthcare organization today,” stated Wayne Quinn, President, Mindray North America.

Offering an expansive selection of system-wide parameter modules plus “onboard” Mindray Clinical Assistant Applications (CAAs), N-Series also delivers powerful clinical decision tools at the bedside, enabling timely and accurate assessment, diagnosis and treatment of critically ill patients. With the N22 / N19 exclusively, N-Series brings to market the first rotatable bedside patient monitor. Utilizing ultra-thin displays and built in accelerometers, the monitors can instantaneously alternate between portrait and landscape orientation in real-time, while maintaining uninterrupted monitoring of the patient.

The N-Series has been thoughtfully designed with regards to infection control and the impact that harsh disinfectant and cleaning chemicals have on device longevity. The entire line of N-Series monitors is manufactured using industry-leading, disinfectant-resistant resins, compatible with the broadest range of commonly used hospital-grade medical disinfectant wipes and are physically designed to minimize retention and ingress of fluids. The complete absence of seams and gaps, as well as hard controls such as buttons and knobs, enables effective disinfection, supporting the larger goal of minimizing the risk of healthcare associated infections (HAIs).

We are proud to offer this innovative series of patient monitors to our valued customers. Dedicated to the development and implementation of solutions that are simple and affordable, easy to adapt, and return bottom line results and meaningful outcomes, we see this product addition as a critical step toward fulfilling our mission of making the most advanced healthcare technology attainable for all.
