Longtime Industry Veteran Reteams with Next Generation Ultrasound Thought Leaders
Mountain View, Calif. – May 10, 2017 – Mindray, a developer of next generation ultrasound technology, announced the appointment of Mark Miller as vice president, North America Ultrasound Sales. Miller reteams with several other industry veterans and is based at the Mindray Innovation Center (formerly ZONARE) in the Silicon Valley. The position was previously held by Steve Edwards who recently announced his retirement from the company.
“It is a pleasure to welcome Mark onboard as our new head of North America ultrasound sales,” said Glen McLaughlin, PhD, executive vice president and chief product officer, Mindray. “Mark worked with us in the formative years of ZONARE, providing significant contributions to the growth of the company, and now returns to lead North American sales of our Mindray and ZONARE branded ultrasound systems. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Steve for his sales leadership over the past several years and wish him the best in his well deserved retirement.”
Previously, Miller was vice president of sales with Acuson/Siemens where he led efforts to secure major market share positions in the U.S. with more than $400 million in sales revenues. With over 20 years of experience in ultrasound sales management, he also held a similar position with Analogic. Miller earned a Bachelor of Arts from Albion College.

ZONE Sonography Technology (ZST) brings cutting-edge ultrasound technology to clinical environments, providing unique continuous transmit focus. Unlike conventional beamformer, line-by-line imaging, ZST uses software-driven, large zone acquisitions, rendering an entirely new and different approach to ultrasound data acquisition and image formation. The result is more imaging detail with consistent, superb resolution and uniform imaging at depth, from the smallest to the largest of patients, throughout the field of view. ZST is also a Living Technology enabling constant upgrades to the platform.
