New Upgrade Demonstrates the Power of Living Technology Enabled by ZONE Sonography® Technology

New York – March 26, 2018 – Mindray, a developer of next generation ultrasound technology, featured a significant new upgrade for its premium Resona 7 ultrasound system at the annual American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) conference held March 24-28, 2018 in New York. The Sapphire edition features multiple new transducers and applications, making the Resona 7 an excellent solution for general imaging, vascular, women’s imaging and shared service applications.

“The Resona 7 Sapphire edition significantly broadens the scope of applications and addresses a wide array of imaging needs, said Mark Miller, vice president of sales and marketing, Mindray. “There are several new transducers and advanced capabilities including Sound Touch Elastography, Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound (CEUS), and several tools for OB/GYN imaging. It is testimony to the power of Mindray’s Living Technology, which is enabled by ZONE Sonography® Technology (ZST+).”

Sound Touch Elastography (Shear wave) utilizes Mindray’s exclusive Ultra Wide Beam Tracking technology to provide comprehensive quantification metrics and dynamic visual display of tissue stiffness for enhanced diagnostic confidence. Mindray’s second generation CEUS imaging uses both harmonic and fundamental signals to improve contrast and temporal resolution during CEUS studies. Also ZST+ enables the system’s Advanced Acoustic Acquisition to allow longer duration of perfusion in tissue and organ assessment during CEUS exams.

Smart Face provides one-touch 3D fetal face optimization while Smart Pelvis offers 2D/3D automated gynecological measurements. Smart Planes enables a robust and user-friendly solution to automatically detect planes and calculate frequently used measurements of the central nervous system (CNS) in fetal brain and heart plane evaluations.

“The new upgrade delivers additional performance and workflow enhancements,” said Miller. “These specific ongoing improvements are covered under our five year, state-of-the-art guarantee – all enabled by our Living Technology.”

In addition to the Sapphire edition, Mindray is also introducing the Emerald edition for the Z.One PRO ultrasound system. This new upgrade has several performance and workflow enhancements including the industry’s first transducer tracking technology, Z-Tracking™. With the growing demand to employ measures for reducing health care-associated infections and the spread of infectious diseases, Z-Tracking™ provides the ability to keep track of the transducers used on each exam and attach to the patient’s medical record.
