New Ultrasound Upgrades and Anesthesia Delivery System Highlighted for State-of-the-Art Solutions for Patient Safety and Satisfaction

New York – April 19, 2018 – Mindray, a developer of next generation medical technology, is featuring several new ultrasound upgrades, a forthcoming anesthesia delivery system and one of its most popular patient monitoring platforms at the annual American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ASRA) conference being held in New York City, April 19 – 21, 2018. The systems are Mindray’s latest state-of-the-art solutions for the anesthesia practitioner.

“We are pleased to be showcasing our forthcoming A-Series anesthesia delivery system Advantage platform along with our highly popular Passport 17M and T1 patient monitors,” said Scot Carriker, strategic marketing manager, Anesthesia & Ventilation, Mindray. “Our upgradeable ultrasound systems help complete a comprehensive solution for the anesthesia suite in our growing portfolio of patient care solutions.”

The A-Series with the Advantage platform provides the functionality and flexibility to meet the clinical and administrative needs of today and into the future. Offering new advanced ventilation functionality, such as Airway Pressure Release Ventilation (APRV) and Lung Recruitment procedures, the A-Series is able to support the most difficult to ventilate patients. Mindray’s Optimizer™ is now available on all A-Series systems, providing customers with the ability to take advantage of the potential cost savings associated with a low-flow decision support tool.

The Passport 17m and T1 monitors are transforming patient care by adapting to the patient’s needs across the hospital enterprise – from module, to transport, to stand-alone bedside monitor – while maintaining continuity of patient information and speeding workflow.

“Mindray’s comprehensive ultrasound systems for the anesthesia and point-of-care environments are based on Living Technology,” said Ann Marie Young, senior manager, Point-of-Care Ultrasound, Mindray. “This supports ongoing upgrades to all of our ultrasound platforms enabling our customers to provide the latest developments in ultrasound imaging.”

The Z.One PRO Emerald Edition upgrade includes an improvement to system boot-up and response times and overall performance for quick and confident decisions. The upgrade includes improved needle visualization technology on the L20-5 and L14-5W transducers and Spatial compounding technology on all curvilinear transducers. Extended calculation and reporting packages will be available as well as vector format and retroactive digital imaging clips. A significant new feature is the industry’s first transducer tracking technology, Z-Tracking™. With the growing demand to employ measures for reducing health care-associated infections and the spread of infectious diseases, Z-Tracking provides the ability to keep track of the transducers used on each exam and attach it to the patient’s permanent medical record.

The M9 upgrade features three new transducers – the L16-4Hs, L20-5s and P8-3Ts pediatric transesophageal. New optional software enables contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) and CEUS quantitative analysis as well as several enhancements to cardiac image quality, small parts resolution and superficial vascular imaging are included in the release.

The TE7 Ultrasound system also features a new capability, iVocal technology. iVocal enables accurate voice recognition for user to system commands. This adds significant new workflow efficiencies for the clinician and supports increased quality of patient care.
