Pioneer of Virtual Beamforming Technology Surpasses 1,500 Worldwide Installations of Flagship Resona 7 Systems Including Five at Mercy Medical Center
Chicago, IL – November 20, 2018 – Mindray, a leading developer of next generation medical technology, is showcasing its new Gem Series ultrasound upgrades at the annual Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) conference being held in Chicago Nov. 25 – 30, 2018. The company also announced it has surpassed 1,500 sales of its flagship Resona 7 ultrasound system, which is the latest platform based on Mindray’s pioneering virtual beamforming technology, ZONE Sonography® Technology (ZST+). Included in the latest installations were five systems in the Vascular Department at Mercy Medical Center, a leading healthcare provider in Baltimore, Maryland.
“I was extremely impressed with the image quality enabled by this virtual beamforming technology,” said Todd Hall, technical director, Mercy Vascular Center. “The other benefit provided by ZST is the ability for Mindray to offer a five year warranty which includes many updates and ongoing improvements as these are developed. This allows us to continually offer our patients the best diagnostic technology at any given moment in time.”
Based on Mindray’s Living Technology™, the Resona 7 (Sapphire), ZS3 (Diamond), M9 (Ruby) and TE7 (Crystal) ultrasound upgrades offer significant enhancements in support of the company’s commitment to providing state-of-the-art ultrasound imaging. The Resona 7 Sapphire edition, powered by ZST+, elevates the system’s performance with ten new transducers and advanced capabilities including Sound Touch Elastography and Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound (CEUS).
The ZS3 Diamond edition, also powered by ZST, optimizes workflow with a new user interface design, and enables premium clinical solutions such as Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse (ARFI) Imaging and CEUS in a highly portable system. The combination of premium performance and mobility is highly suited for demanding imaging environments.
The TE7 Crystal series features eSpacial Navi™, a 4D magnetic needle navigation technology, delivering enhanced needle visualization for improved physician confidence and patient safety during interventional procedures. The M9 Ruby edition provides new transducers, workflow enhancements, and advanced capabilities in a versatile and mobile ultrasound system.
“Mindray ultrasound is based on Living Technology designed to keep our clinical partners at cutting-edge imaging capabilities,” said Glen McLaughlin, PhD, chief product officer for Mindray. “This enables a superb investment protection and cost of ownership to help maximize department productivity. Remaining state-of-the-art in diagnostic solutions is essential for our radiology customers and we are committed to ongoing, vigorous research and development to fulfill this need.”
