Mindray Debuts New Line of ePM Patient Monitors in the North American Marketplace

Representing the evolution of simplicity within patient monitoring, Mindray’s ePM patient platform builds on the well-established attributes of the Passport® patient monitoring series in the outpatient surgery and other out-of-hospital markets.

Mindray, a global developer of medical device solutions and technologies, is pleased to introduce the new ePM series of continuous, multi-parameter patient monitors. Designed for the specialized needs of the ambulatory surgery center and out-of-hospital setting where flexibility and efficiency are essential, the ePM 10M and 12M are purposefully positioned to support workflow productivity, improved patient outcomes and reduced total cost of ownership in these lower-acuity, cost-sensitive care areas.

The ePM 10M and 12M deliver the capabilities of traditional, configured multi-parameter monitors, with the added benefit of flexibility provided by the modular form-factor. This plug-and-play modular approach allows for more advanced monitoring functions such as CO₂ and invasive pressures to be easily added when changes in patient conditions warrant increased monitoring surveillance. Additionally, specific to the perioperative environment, the optional multi-gas module automatically identifies and measures the inspired and expired values of O₂, CO₂, N₂O and 5 anesthetic agents, creating an ideal OR monitoring solution when used with the ePM 12M monitor.
