Medical Industry Veteran Joins Mindray Innovation Center in Silicon Valley
Mountain View, Calif. – April 25, 2017 – Mindray, a developer of next generation ultrasound technology, announced the recent appointment of Maher Elhihi as director of ultrasound marketing, North America. Elhihi will manage product marketing strategy and activities located at the Mindray Innovation Center in Silicon Valley, California. He will also contribute to corporate communication efforts in support of strategic marketing activities and brand awareness campaigns.
“We are pleased to have Maher rejoin us as the director of marketing,” said Glen McLaughlin, PhD, executive vice president, North America and chief product officer, Mindray. “He brings a strong background in healthcare marketing and, specifically, a deep knowledge of ultrasound. He has worked with ultrasound thought leaders throughout North America and has a firm understanding of their imaging needs.”
In addition to previous healthcare roles, Elhihi initially served as market segment manager for ZONARE Medical Systems (currently Mindray) beginning in 2006 and later as manager of marketing until 2011. Post ZONARE, he became senior manager, Ultrasound Market Development with Toshiba and most recently group marketing manager, urology, for KARL STORZ Endoscopy-America. Elhihi holds a BA and MBA from Santa Clara University.
